To better support the use of Assess in your organization, we have web-based resource sites which are referenced within the Assess reports.

The Development Report directs the respondent to a Career Development Site for employees to assist with report interpretation, goal setting and action planning. If authorization has been given, employees may also view their reports on-line.

It also directs the manager to a managerial website to help in the coaching and individual development of participants.

Welcome to the Assess Career Development website. This site is designed to help you best use your Assess Development Report in your career development.

Use the Menu on the left to help guide you in your career development. Below we have provided brief descriptions of each of the menu options.

  • Job Effectiveness Model - The first step in career development is understanding your role and what is needed to be successful. The Job Effectiveness Model will help you think about how you achieve desired outcomes in your job through your behaviors. Your behaviors, in turn, are influenced by various factors including the knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal characteristics you bring to the job.
  • Assess Development Report - The next step is to take stock of your current strengths and weaknesses. Typically a good way of evaluating yourself is through self assessment. Learn more about the Assess Report, including detailed definitions of the Personality Dimensions here. In addition, if you have received a permission code to obtain your Assess Development Report online, you may access it here as well.
  • Assess 360 Feedback Report - Another source of information to help you take stock of your current strengths and weaknesses. This report provides feedback from others (boss, peers, direct reports, etc.) regarding your display of important job competencies and behaviors. If you have received a permission code to obtain your Assess 360 Feedback Report on-line, you may access it here as well.
  • Goal Setting - Once you have reviewed your results, use this menu option to help set short-term and long-term career goals based on your assessment results.
  • Action Planning - Finally, you will write a personal development plan to achieve your goals. This detailed action plan will guide your development process. Use the Sample Actions Plans as well as the Action Planning Worksheets provided in this menu option to help you with this process.
